Why did I start MKM Airworks?
Why We Started MKM Airworks.
Born from a desire to solve the long-standing issues in airport ICT and deliver systems that truly work on the ground.

Story
Challenges in Airport ICT — Seen from the Field
Over many years, we have worked on airport IT implementations and operations across the world.
What we consistently observed were fundamental challenges such as:
-
Data is fragmented and cannot be effectively used for decision-making
-
Vendor lock-in makes every change costly and time-consuming
-
ICT costs are often not aligned with the scale of the airport
We kept asking ourselves: “Shouldn’t airport IT be simpler, more flexible, and more useful on the ground?”
That thought stayed with us.
The Moment We Realized — Things Would Not Change
As part of a large global organization, there was much we could achieve.
But at the same time, there were inherent limitations:
-
Rapid PoC development was difficult
-
It was hard to respond to “small” needs from regional airports
-
Innovation was often secondary to maintaining the status quo
The desire grew stronger each day: “We want to deliver what airports truly need, in the way they actually need it.”
The Decision to Found MKM Airworks
We met trusted colleagues, skilled engineers, and reliable partners with whom we had worked for many years.
Together, we shared a vision: “Let’s build a new kind of company — one dedicated to airport ICT.”
Building ICT That Grows with Airports
At MKM Airworks, our mission is centered around three principles:
-
PoC-First Approach. Start small, validate quickly, and scale with confidence
-
Practical, Field-Ready Solutions. Design and deliver systems that truly work in real airport operations
-
Open and Flexible Architecture. Leverage APIs and open technologies to avoid lock-in and enable adaptability
“Even regional airports deserve ICT that rivals major hubs.”
This belief is at the core of our company.
Why a Dog in Our Logo?
The dog symbolizes honesty, loyalty, and trust.
Just like our services,
we aim to be a reliable partner that supports the everyday safety and stability of airport operations.
